I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Houston, Texas. I provide individual therapy for ages 18+. I also provide couples and family therapy.

Credentials

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I then went to obtain my Masters from Boston University School of Social Work. I moved to Houston in 2015 after being selected for a Social Work Fellowship at The Menninger Clinic. Since then, I have worked at various hospitals in both inpatient and outpatient settings to further develop my clinical skills.

I am currently licensed in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts.

Specialty Areas

As a South Asian immigrant (born in India, raised in the United States), I am passionate about working with those coming from a similar background. I believe that immigrants and Asian/South Asians experience a unique set of issues living in the United States given that the differences in the cultures can often times clash.

I believe that having a therapist that can understand many of those issues makes a huge difference in gaining a better understanding of oneself as well as achieving other therapy goals.

I also specialize in anxiety, depression, stress management, and relationships issues.

Approach

We all have complex issues that we try to navigate by ourselves. Tackling the day-to-day stress with no outlet can quickly become overwhelming to the point where we feel paralyzed. I want to help you achieve YOUR goals in a way that resonates with who you are, your culture, and your values.

I believe that the therapist-client relationship is what's most important when it comes to therapy. As an integrated therapist, I use evidence-based treatments and combine different therapeutic tools to create a unique, individualized plan for you. I ask for feedback to ensure the work we do is working for you.
